1. Grab one of your instruments from your music bag and play along with the video. Remember sixteenth notes go du-ta-de-ta and we learned them in 3rd grade with the song "Tideo" If you need a refresher click here.
2. Danse Macabre by Camille Saint-Saens
Camille Saint-Saens is a composer who read a poem by Henri Cazalis about the dance of death and decided to compose (write) a piece of music to go with it. When a composer writes a piece of music to illustrate a specific poem, painting, landscape, etc we call it a tone poem. Danse Macabre is Saint-Saens's tone poem about Henri Cazalis's poem with the same name. In it you are supposed to hear a scene where a clock strike midnight and skeletons dance about until the sunrise.
